Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter on WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then she became an anchor and morning reporter for WCBD TV. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's stories on the lenient police approach towards DUI cases resulted in the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to State authorities issuing the strictest guidelines regarding DUI instances. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell's experience in Charleston has led to her serving as co-anchor and investigative reporter and NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Before joining Access Hollywood she was a weekday co-anchor as well as NBC's weekend co-anchor. Alongside her work as a lead anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and as well for Dateline NBC. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. In addition, she hosted The Miss USA pageant as well as the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
